Nag Tibba Temple is dedicated to the Nag Devta.It is located in the base camp.After a long day of trekking,trekkers pay homage here before heading to their camps for the night.

The best time for Nag Tibba trek is during summer and winter.The clear sparkling surroundings in summer are a stark contrast to the white beauty of winter.But the manner in which each of these seasons holds something fascinating for visitors remains constant throughout the year.
IN SUMMER:-
The summer season in the mountains is the most pleasant season for trekkers coming from the plains.To accompany the clear skies with the warmth of the sun,a cool breeze is always blowing which makes the experience quite comfortable.The season lasts from April to June. If one is visiting around the beginning of April,it is probably recommended to carry light woolens for the colder nights.
IN MONSOON:-
Monsoon rains bring a green shade to the region.There is nothing quite like seeing soaring peaks with raindrops splashing all around. Although the natural beauty is excellent,the mountains are prone to accidental landslides during the rainy season.These cause unnecessary trouble for the trekkers as landslides caused by landslides are common in the region.
IN WINTER:-
The cold months of October,November and December are the best time for the Nag Tibba trek. Trekking trails are less crowded now as compared to other seasons.Trekkers cherish the solitude of the peaceful gloom of winter. It snows on the trail during the winter,and wherever one goes to look,the scenery soon turns white.Here in winter it reaches sub-zero temperatures,so it is necessary to carry warm woolen clothes.
NAG TIBBA TREK ITINERARY:-
Nag Tibba trek itinerary can be covered in a weekend.The starting point of the trek can be reached from several different arrival points for tourists and trekkers.Jolly Grant Airport of Dehradun is well connected to major Indian cities through Delhi Airport.
There are regular trains once again from Delhi at Dehradun railway station.Dehradun can also be reached by overnight Volvo buses from Delhi.
DAY 1:-The starting point of the trek is at Pantwari.On the first day,trekkers reach Dehradun and take cabs via Mussoorie and Nainbagh. During this 85 km drive that takes around 4 hours,the cab stops at Kempty Falls for refreshments and the scenic beauty of the waterfall.On their way one also crosses the famous Yamuna bridge. Pantwari village is situated at an altitude of 1415 m.From here the trek starts towards the base camp.it’s 6 km It takes around 6-7 hours to complete the trek.This part of the trail is a gradual climb.On the way,trekkers will come across Nag Devta Mandir,a temple dedicated to Nag Devta.This is where the shepherds sought blessings.Since ancient times,shepherds have used rough roads to find meadows
Where their cattle could graze.The trekking trail here occasionally passes through a motorable road.After these crossings,trekkers can refill their water supply from the mountain stream,from which the water is collected in a reservoir.Trekkers are soon taken inside wooded areas,yet it can be fully recognized by clear markings.As long as there are no traces of traces,there is no chance of getting lost here In extreme winter,Nag Tibba got swept away under the snow due to the cold weather.The base camp is situated at an altitude of 2600 meters amidst a large clearing.Nag Tibba Temple is one of the major sites here.Watching the sunset against the high peaks of the Garhwal Himalayas is a delight as trekkers reach their camping destination for the night.This is undoubtedly a picture-worthy place.
DAY 2:- One must wake up early to get that perfect shot of sunrise at Nag Tibba peak. It takes an hour or two to reach the summit from base camp, so it’s important to start early.The trail once again takes the trekkers into the jungle.The shady forested area is dry.Beyond the forest cover there is a steep climbing trail leading up to the highest point of the trek at 3022 metres.It is Nag Tibba Shikhar or ‘Jhandi’ and a flag marks it.Various peaks of the Himalayan ranges can be seen from here far and wide.The 360-degree panoramic view is extraordinarily breathtaking as trekkers are surrounded by clouds passing through such a height.Swargarohini,Bandarpunch,Gangotri, Kala Nag, Kedarnath,and The Srikanth ranges and peaks are located to the left of the summit point.Trekkers explore the area here,capture the beautiful surroundings and soon start landing at the Khatian village camp for lunch.Around noon they reach the starting point of the village.Cabs are easily available here to take the trekkers back to Dehradun, from where they can either leave for their hometown or start their next adventure.
